ABOUT BLOGGING READ MORE

Blogging

Blogs, short for Web logs, allow people to write on many topics in a format similar to an online diary. However, blogs are not private like diaries. Many blogs have taken more of a Facebook-like form, where you add "followers," or friends, and keep up with their "posts," or diary entries. These entries include funny pictures found on the Internet, favorite quotes, and diary entries.

The ability of followers and consequently your followers' followers to access your posts and reblog them makes this online diary form all the more public.

Furthermore, many people choose to connect their blogs to their Facebook pages, which opens another spectrum of people who can easily get access to your blog.

People of all ages all over the world can read your blog, even people who
know you only through your writing. It is important to understand the enormity of the public and take precaution about what you write.
If you are safe and responsible, blogging can be a fun way to meet people with similar interests, connect with friends who live far away, and develop your writing.

Blogging allows people to express their day to day thoughts in a way many social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter can't. Blogging can help teens communicate and develop their interests, but there are also dangers to blogging.

The Internet is anonymous. Also, remember that the Internet is public domain that anyone can access, so it is important to be take precautions when you blog.
