One Man, One Mic, One Show !
Benneth Chinedu Daniel whose stage name is Acapella is set to take on a greater challenge this year in the comedy industry. The maiden edition of his annual comedy concert, ‘Acapella – My Mic & 1 (D Horse’s Mouth)’ has been tagged “The One Man Show”.
In a media parley, the widely travelled Lagos based act confirmed that on the night, he will be the only performing comedian on stage, treating his audience to a lengthy period of jaw-breaking humour and a timely flow of wise cracks.
Acapella stated that every edition of his show adopts a style that is unique to the theme. From his first mainstream show tagged, ‘Comedy Goes To Church’ which started February 2013 before coming to a halt early this year after it’s 5th Edition has always had it’s audience treated to a variety of innovative styles.
The talented comic established himself as a star to be reckoned with in 2011, He was among the first ever set of comedians alongside Daniel D Humorous, Mc Abbey, Buchi, Princess & others to represent Nigeria in the first-ever English Language comedy feature at the 28 years-old Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland. They were also the first Africans on that world stage doing the theme ‘The American Dream’ before a capacity crowd.
The event is scheduled to hold on Sunday, 29th October, 2017 at the Shell Hall, Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
